When I work, I'm thinking about experience. More often than not, the experience of making something is fun, challenging, or exciting.  Art is like a game for me in that way; I try to design a puzzle that's hard enough to be interesting but just easy enough to solve.  When I finish a piece, there is usually this moment of victory, a sense of accomplishment, and that feeling is a large part of what keeps me motivated.  Lately, I've been focused on process.  There is so much that goes into making something that isn't necessarily understood by seeing the finished product.  I want the work I make to tell the story of how it got here.
